Filipa graduated in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Lisbon, Portugal and was awarded a PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, where she developed scientific activity on risk assessment and disease surveillance.

 

She joined Siemens, Portugal, in 2010 as Healthcare Consultant were she had responsibilities of business development, team management and implementation of different projects focused on strategic planning, clinical optimization, market research and healthcare quality improvement.

 

Filipa obtained a Post-graduate Diploma on General Management Católica-Lisbon School of Business & Economics, Portugal, in 2012.

 

Over the last 15 years, Filipa regularly participated and coordinated different activities and voluntary projects aiming at promoting human development and social responsibility.

Henrique graduated in Veterinary Medicine at Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal. He was awarded a PhD in molecular and cellular biology from Université René Descartes, Paris, France. He developed his post-doctoral research at Institut Necker in Paris, France and at the National Institute for Medical Research, London, UK.

He joined the Instituto de Medicina Molecular (IMM), Lisbon, Portugal, late in 2008 as a group leader.

Since 2014 he is member of the IMM board of directors. He made ground-breaking contributions to the understanding of immunological memory, innate lymphoid cells and hematopoietic stem cell biology.

 

Among others he received three European Research Council awards and has been elected as EMBO member.

Maria has a master degree in Biomedical Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Portugal. In 2013, she was awarded a degree in Master Business Administration at the Lisbon MBA International Program, a partnership between Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Universidade Católica and MIT.

 

From 2008 to May 2015, Maria worked at Siemens Healthcare, Portugal, as a Principal Healthcare Consultant and Product Manager, assuming responsibilities for business development, team management and coordination of strategic healthcare consulting projects.

 

Maria has been actively involved in different voluntary activities and NGO.

Francisco has a master in Biological Engineering and finished his PhD in Biotechnology in 2011 at Instituto Superior Técnico, Lisbon, Portugal. His research was focused on the translation of adult human stem cell expansion systems to the clinics, with several publications in the field. He was involved in a pioneer clinical project in Portugal for the treatment of patients with acute Graft-versus-Host Disease (GvHD) with allogeneic stem cells.

 

In 2011, Francisco co-founded Cell2B Advanced Therapeutics, where he assumed the role of manager of the R&D department and was responsible for Cell2B’s product development studies and for scientific and technical partnerships with academic research groups and industry.

 

Francisco has significant experience in the pharmaceutical development of advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMP) and regulatory affairs.

 

Sílvia graduated in Biochemistry in 2010 at Coimbra University, Coimbra, Portugal and worked as a Research Assistant at Instituto de Medicina Molecular, Portugal where she made a crucial scientific contribution for the foundation of StemCell2MAX.

 

Sílvia is currently enrolled as a PhD student at Henrique Veiga Fernandes Lab, Instituto de Medicina Molecular, Portugal.

Diogo worked as a research trainee at Center for Biodiversity, Functional and Integrative Genomics and graduated in Microbiology in 2008 at the University of Lisbon, Portugal.

He obtained a PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences - Immunology in 2013 at the University of Lisbon, under the supervision of Henrique Veiga Fernandes at Instituto de Medicina Molecular, Portugal,

where he made a crucial scientific contribution for the foundation of StemCell2MAX.

Diogo is currently a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health, and has number publications in peer-reviewed journals.
